Guest Speaker NPS Fast Facts Ted Dintersmith Speed of Change: Ted shared the rapid rate at which technology and artificial intelligence is moving and how that will continue to increase at an unheard of pace. He further emphasized the need to modify the way in which school and learning environments are structured to prepare students and parents for this rapid change. STEAM/Application Based Learning: As part of this discussion, Ted reinforced the need for a more intentional focus on STEAM learning and STEAM fields. He discussed the need for more hands-on and application based learning that puts students in the driver's seat when it comes to having more ownership of their learning and their outcomes. Student Voice: Balance and Wellness: As part of a student discussion, Ted Dintersmith spoke with students about their school experience. The students shared that their learning is best and most meaningful when they are able to pursue what they are passionate about and when they feel they are making a difference. They also reinforced the need for the balance between mental/physical well being and success. This was a powerful discussion.
