The Northville Public Schools District is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Provo as the new principal of Meads Mill Middle School, effective July 1, 2024. Ms. Provo, who has served with distinction as the Assistant Principal at Hillside Middle School, brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to educational excellence to her new role.

"Ms. Provo is a proven leader, demonstrating a student centered approach rooted in high expectations tailored to the needs of middle level learners. Ms. Provo knows Northville, the traditions of our past and vision for our future. Her staff at Hillside Middle School reveres her for supporting them in their growth and in the daily operations of the school. We are fortunate to have talented educators in Northville, educators who we can advance into positions that will continue exceptional service to our community.”
During her tenure at Hillside Middle School, Ms. Provo played a pivotal role in implementing progressive educational strategies, enhancing student engagement, and supporting staff development. Her collaborative approach and ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff have been instrumental in helping to create a positive and dynamic school culture.
Ms. Provo stated, “I am thrilled to have the honor to serve as the new principal of Meads Mill Middle School. I look forward to working with the fantastic families, educators, and, most importantly, students of Meads Mill. Together, we will make the middle school of our dreams and reach new heights of success.”
Ms. Provo's career in education spans over 23 years, during which she has held various positions, including classroom teacher and instructional coach, before transitioning into administration. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Michigan State University.
