Northville Public Schools is excited to celebrate its 3rd annual district-wide Inclusion Week from March 3-7! This special week is a fantastic opportunity for families to support their school’s Unified Programs while celebrating what makes our district truly exceptional—our commitment to inclusivity and belonging for all.
What is Inclusion Week?
Inclusion Week is a celebration of everything that makes our schools welcoming and inclusive. It’s a time for students, teachers, and the entire community to come together to learn about and embrace diversity, empathy, and self-acceptance.
Throughout the week, the Northville High School Unified Peer Program will lead themed activities, fostering a fun and meaningful experience for all. Last year, Inclusion Week raised over $700 from t-shirt sales, which was donated to the New Hope Center for Grief Support. This year, we are thrilled to announce that t-shirt sales alone raised an incredible $12,000—funds that will go directly toward supporting and expanding Unified Programs across the district!
Themed Days
Each day will feature a unique theme, reinforcing the spirit of inclusion:
- Monday: PJ Day – Come as you are!
- Tuesday: Jersey Day – Be a part of the team!
- Wednesday: Superhero Day – Show your superpower!
- Thursday: Pink & Red Day – Spread love!
- Friday: Inclusion Shirt/School Spirit Wear – NPS is inclusive!
Across all school buildings, students will participate in engaging activities that reflect each day’s theme, fostering a deeper understanding of inclusion, diversity, and empathy. Additionally, a team of high school students will visit classrooms throughout the district, spreading the message of inclusion with interactive and inspiring activities.
Special Olympics Polar Plunge – Join the Fun!
We’re wrapping up the week with an exciting event—the Cool Schools Polar Plunge hosted by Special Olympics Michigan at Northville High School!

This event is open to everyone, including students, staff, and community supporters. Whether you want to take the plunge or simply donate to the cause, every contribution makes a difference. So far, we’ve raised $5,100 toward our $10,000 goal—let’s keep the momentum going!
